Sporting Pilot Project
Calrossy is one of only 80 schools Australia wide to be chosen for a pilot program to identify and address barriers to sport participation for youth. Calrossy is partnered with Rugby Union to deliver the program during Term 1 and 2 to our Year 7 and 8 students.
The aim of the program is to engage more children in more sport based activities within schools and help them foster a lifelong interest in sport, gain a healthier mind and body, have fun and learn sport activities and games in a safe environment. Calrossy was invited to participate in the Youth Pilot Program and is hosting NSW Rugby in Terms 1 and 2 during sports lessons and after school as part of this program. Mr Garry Walsh, North West Regional Development Officer, will be delivering the course to our students.
