Gabbie Campbell is continuing to study Arts Law at University of Technology at Brisbane.

Emma Crocket. I finished school at Calrossy in 2002 as a year 10 Student. Straight from School I went to Tamworth TAFE and Completed a Certificate III in Animal Studies, which I completed in one year. Once I completed this I went on and did the Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, which I also completed in one year. During these courses I did on the job training at both Goonoo Goonoo Vets and Piper Street Veterinary Clinic. Since finishing the studies in 2004, I have been working with Piper Street Vets on a half-day basis. I have recently accepted full time work with Piper Street Veterinary Clinic (Tamworth).

Elizabeth Chamberlain has completed her studies in Horse Business Management at Marcus Oldham, VIC and is now living and working in Newcastle.

Emma Croker is continuing to study Medicine at Newcastle University.

 

Class of 2002

Phoebe Smith – 2003 attended Armidale University and lived on campus at St Alberts for the year. Great college, not the right choice of course. 2004 back home for the year. Tried my hand at Real Estate and have nearly completed the Real Estate Course at TAFE. 2005 back to study at Passmores Newcastle. Finally obtained a double diploma in Business Administration and Tourism and Hospitality. 2006 training polo horses at Ellerston Scone. Long hours, love the work. Who knows what the year will bring?

Rebecca Crocket. I finished school at Calrossy in 2002, having gained a place at UNE in a Bachelor of Environmental Science. I ventured off to Uni but six months into the course I decided that this was not the way what I wanted to go. I left mid way through 2003. In July 2003 I enrolled into a Diploma of Conservation and Land Management with Trenayr Campus TAFE just north of Grafton. Early 2004 I enrolled in Tamworth TAFE in a Certificate II in Business Administration. I completed this and gained employment on a Traineeship with the Hunter New England Area Health Service, Rural Training Unit. During my Traineeship I was awarded the junior category of Tamworth Office Professional Award. I completed my Traineeship in August 2005 and went on to a Grade 2 Administration position. I have recently accepted a job offer of a Project Officer, which will involve promoting Health Careers to High School Students within the New England/North West and Hunter Area.

Sarah Chamberlain is continuing to study Medicine at University in Adelaide.

Jodie Jenkin is in her final year at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst studying Early Childhood.

Tatiana Secombe won the Tamworth Showgirl competition in 2005 and was successful at the regional judging in March 2006 giving her an opportunity to compete at Sydney Royal Easter Show in April 2006.

Brooke Neate married Ben Marshall on 1st October 2005 at Brooke's family property "Darling Plains" near Delungra where they have now made their home.

Katie Jenkin is currently overseas travelling and working in Ayre, Scotland.

Elissa Kidd is engaged to Rob Sheaffe, they have planned their wedding for April 2006 and will make their home together at Quirindi.

Johanna Newman. Since leaving in 1998, I went on to UNE and obtained a degree in Education. I have been working at Muswellbrook Public School since graduating in 2003. I am working 2 days a week team teaching on a lovely year 2 Class. I gave birth to Jack Alister in October 2004 and married Nathan Teague in October 2005. We are living in Scone.

Kristi Jenkin runs her own architectural drafting business - Arkidraft by KJ in Tamworth.

Tanya Richards is living in Tamworth and working for Elders Rural Bank as a District Banking Officer.

Emily Maltby married Clint Holcombe on 8th January 2005 at Tamworth. She was attended by Sally Balmain and Johanna Teague (nee Newman) both class of 1998. Emily and Clint have made their home at "Myall Plains" Burren Junction where Emily is Primary School Teaching.

Bindi Walker married Chris Eather of Collarenebri on the beach at Forster on December 17th 2005 they make their home in Tamworth.

Lisa Pollock (Keech) with her husband Rob had their first child Hugh Thomas on the 20th December 2005, they have made their home at "Currabubula Station" Currabubula.

Natalie Cush married James Tydd of Gunnedah on March 11th 2006 at Saint Thomas Anglican Church Bellata, they will make their home at "Valorban", Bellata.

Danae Pollock married Benj Maclean of Narromine on 12th March 2005, they have made their home in Narromine and are expecting their first child at the end of June.

Emma Nichols and her partner Ron Soutar have made their home at Allambie Heights in Sydney and have just had their first baby named Hamish Soutar.

Tiffany Bradley and Missy Eslick both live in Burleigh Waters on the Gold Coast. Tiffany has a daughter Allie Elizabeth Bradley, born August 2000.

Jacki Richards is a governess at Walhallow Station in the Northern Territory for 12 months.

Rosalie Murray moved to Canberra after Year 12 and studied Science at ANU. After 4 years in the city decided it was time for a change, so moved to a remote cattle station in the Northern Territory and worked as a Governess teaching a year one boy through the Alice Springs School of the Air. Also did plenty of jillaroo work which sparked an interest in Agriculture. A year after leaving the Territory and working a few different jobs, enrolled in Master of Agriculture at UNE. Currently living in Charleville, Qld. For most of the last 18 months has been studying part time and working
part time with the Remote Family Care Service going out to properties to look after children under 5 years. Recently picked up a full time job (still studying Ag part time) at the local radio station doing administration. Only done 2 days but enjoying it so far! Also joined the Queensland Fire and Rescue Service as an auxiliary firefighter about a year ago (mainly called out to car accidents, grass fires and structure fires and the occasional chemical incident).

Olivia Morison married local Tamworth boy Luke O’Connor on 23rd April 2005 at Shellharbour.

Kim Werth (Richards) and her husband Roy live on a property near Oakey, QLD. Kim continues to work for McCafferty’s-Greyhound in Toowoomba.

Miranda Morison married Rob Wright on 29th October 2005 at Dungowan, near Tamworth and have made their home together in Sydney.

Lana McKnight is engaged to Wayne Andrews, they are planning their wedding for May 2006 in the Hunter Valley. Both Lana and Wayne currently live and work in Sydney.

Katherine Burnage married Les Brown in Newcastle on 18 November 2005. Katherine was attended by Amy Walker, Tanya Scott (Swadling) & Kristy Tucker (Smith) (all class of 1994). Katherine and Les have made their home at Moree.

Jade Heffernan (Wong) and her husband Todd had their first baby Lachlan James Heffernan born 9th December 2005 at Tamara Private Hospital, Tamworth, weighing 9 pounds 6 ounces.

Kylie Walsh (Thomson) recently celebrated her 30th birthday with some former classmates. They caught up for a drink and enjoyed a day on the harbour.

Rachel Petrie (Reading) gave birth to a lovely little girl, Lucy Ella Petrie on 15th December 2005.

Simone Manning (Silver) married Drew in November 2002. Two sons, Samuel (born May 2004) and Thomas (born January 2006). Currently on leave from full time position at John Hunter hospital in Newcastle.

Heather Hunter (Murray) went to Germany for a year as an exchange student after the HSC. Returned to University of Queensland and completed a BA. Married Kevin Hunter in 1997. Worked in various office jobs until May 2005 at which time she took on self-employment and began doing bookkeeping, proofreading and editing for other businesses. Back living in the Tamworth area since 2001.

Kirsty McFarlane (Barnett) and her husband Scott (a Tamworth boy) recently had their 4 month old daughter Isabel Charlotte baptised. Isabel was fortunate enough to be baptised by Archdeacon Peter Smart, at Christ Church in Lavender Bay, Sydney. Kirsty and Scott were very grateful that Mr Smart baptised Isabel as Kirsty was baptised by Mr Smart in Tamworth 33 years ago! Of course the association goes further than that with Mr Smart being Kirsty’s principal at Calrossy (Kirsty was a pupil from 1984 to 1989). Isabel’s two Godmothers are both old Calrossy girls – Sally Cahalan ( Barnett) and Julia Nelson (Hebblewhite). One of Isabel’s Grandmother’s (Robyn McFarlane – nee Neal) was also a Calrossy girl.

Kirsty and Scott live in Sydney and have done so since they were married, five and a half years ago. Prior to that they lived in London and travelled together. Before taking maternity leave Kirsty worked at Ernst & Young in the Tax Division as a Senior Manager. Scott is the State Director of the National Party in NSW.

Bronwyn Brooks (Wood) left school at end of year 10 in 1974, worked for dentist in Tamworth. Married Bruce Page in 1980, have one daughter, Emily aged 10. Worked as personal care assistant at Alblas Hostel in Tamworth. Divorced and married Ken Brooks in 2004.

Kathleen McDonald (Wood) left school at end of year 10 in 1972, did a Secretarial course at Tamworth Technical College in 1973. Married Ronald McDonald in 1977, have two boys - Stephen aged 25 and Scott aged 21. Live at Nemingha and work for Specialist surgeons in Tamworth.

Belinda Barton is continuing to study Business Economics at UTS in Sydney.

Jennifer Cooke (Dekkers) taught at Orange Christian School for 5 years, then moved to Sydney with her husband Danny. She has just completed her first year of a Diploma of Theology. Danny has completed one third of his Bachelor of Theology. They are planning to go on a college mission trip to India later this year to experience cross cultural issues in mission work. At this stage they are focussing on Children’s Ministry, but are yet to see how they will be using their skills and interests in the future.

Katherine Harvey worked in China with a Christian Mission organisation for a couple of years then returned to Sydney to complete a Post Graduate Diploma of Bible and Missions last year. She has now moved to Cambodia to teach English and learn Khmer while she explores possibilities of mission work and life in Cambodia.

Katherine’s sister Robyn started at College this year. Prior to this, she studied linguistics and French at Sydney University before working in Speech Technology for a company in Chatswood. Robyn hopes her current study will help her to translate the Bible into languages that don’t yet have it.

Nikki Cotter (Florence) also studied part time while her husband John studied for his Master of Divinity. They spent some time in China several years ago. They have 2 children and are currently exploring what ministry they will do in the future.

Tineke Dekkers was preschool teaching in Gunnedah before going off to Bible College. Last year she finished a Diploma of Theolgy and has just begun a job as Pastoral Care Worker for Inverell Anglican Church. She said “It’s great to move back to the country and be part of a rural parish again. While I was in Sydney, I was attending Ashbury Anglican Church which is the church where Sarah Sholl’s (Swainston) husband is the minister. I really loved sharing in their ministry and friendship.”
