Extra Curriculum - School Sport
Calrossy offers an excellent selection of sports and each
student is encouraged to be involved. Calrossy caters for
beginners to advanced level. The school supports many of the
local community sporting associations by entering teams in
the local competitions where competition takes place throughout
the week outside school hours.
Calrossy is an affiliate member of IGSSA (Independent Girls'
School Sporting Association) and participates competitively
with other Independent Girls Schools in swimming, athletics,
cross-country, tennis and gymnastics. There is an opportunity
for Calrossy students to represent IGSSA in hockey, netball
and waterpolo as well as swimming, athletics, cross-country,
tennis and gymnastics. Selection for representation is based
on performance at specified carnivals as well as participation
in the Calrossy teams at the local level.
