Curriculum Support - Learning Skills
Learning skills is a multifaceted subject for students in
Years 7-10 that aims to provoke thought, curiosity, and discussion
about individual learning styles.
Everybody has a preferred learning style. When students know
and understand about their own learning styles they can learn
more effectively and develop coping strategies to compensate
for any weaknesses.
The practical component of the subject involves learning
how to best use the available resources. This includes how
to: use the library efficiently, evaluate web sites, use a
variety of resources in our learning, scan to email, present
/ format assessments, prepare a bibliography, use multi media
equipment and digital cameras as well as many other practical
skills.
