Curriculum Support - Remediation

In most cases, new students to Calrossy are assessed on their basic skills. This allows immediate identification of students requiring modified courses of study. A program of withdrawal for additional support in English in Years 7 & 8 has proved beneficial. On occasions withdrawal support operates in other areas as well.

In Years 9 and 10 most classes are organised so that students who require particular support are placed in smaller classes with greater opportunities for individual assistance.

The Fundamentals of English course in Years 11 and 12 is available for students requiring additional small group assistance with literacy.
