Commerce
Commerce is available as an elective course of either 100
or 200 hours in Years 9 and 10.
Retail therapy, plastic cards and phone credit are very much
part of the lives of today's young people.
Commerce as a subject for the middle years of school focuses
on areas of personal finance, budgeting, saving, borrowing
and employment issues.
Calrossy's Commerce staff aim to immerse students in practical
and enjoyable activities to help them in making sound financial
decisions.
The course involves students because they are able to apply
their knowledge immediately.
Students are making financial decisions everyday.
It is hoped that the study of Commerce will help these decisions
to be informed and to lay a responsible pattern for the future.
