History

The direction in which we head is measured from whence we come. History at Calrossy is a vital, challenging and rigorous course of study. Its principal aim is to meet the innate curiosity of students to know their past.

The Calrossy staff are professionally able to integrate syllabus demands and student curiosity to develop courses enjoyable to students. The full range of Board endorsed Modern and Ancient History courses is available at Calrossy coupled with a tradition of excellence. Students express the satisfaction and growth achieved through this subject.

Junior students are presented with histories encompassing ancient to modern and the uniquely Australian experience. This assists their rise to responsible and informed citizenship. Senior students are fostered through small classes and resources of the highest standard.

Extension History in Years 11 and 12 caters for talented, independent and analytical thinkers, allowing students to develop a sophisticated sense of time and place.
