Trade Training Centre

Agri-Industry Skills Trade Training Centre

Tamworth Area Agri-Industry Skills Trade Training Centre, home to the Kamilaroi Stud, has been established by funding from the Australian Government. An agreement exists with the Australian Government to establish a Trade Training Centre offering courses in Primary Industries I, II and III. These courses are to be freely available to the wider community.

Within this framework it is our aim to establish a farm demonstrating best agricultural practice. The management ethos will reflect blending the key issues of production, finance and the environment to achieve educational and productivity goals.

In addition to the primary purpose of operating a Trade Training Centre, we seek to offer experiences in enterprise management/case study work in junior and senior Agriculture and an environment which can enhance or provide for aspects of other subjects and elective courses.

Our goal is that Tamworth Area Agri-Industry Skills Trade Training Centre will provide an excellent link with the local community. Firstly we will provide courses in Primary Industries I, II and III. In addition it is our hope that industry courses might be offered to the public and that Field Days might be held demonstrating best practice.
