Academic Pathways

At Calrossy our students are given every opportunity to develop, test and expand their knowledge and learning.

As part of our commitment to success at every stage, for every student, Calrossy offers support and extension for identified students. Differentiation is used in all classrooms to ensure that children are working to their ability level and building upon previously gained knowledge and skills and no child is left behind with building essential skills.

Opportunities exist for those who require extension to move beyond classroom learning and take part in more rigorous academic pursuits such as competitions, Maths camps, Science tournaments and activities.  Extension groups operate once a week, for suitable ages, to provide children a chance to pursue independent study and develop higher level mathematical understanding and problem solving abilities, English skills and research and design capabilities.

Meantime, our Independent Learning Centre has dedicated teachers for those boys and girls requiring assistance with their work, both in and out of the classroom setting.

Our Junior School also offers an After School Assistance Program on Monday afternoons throughout term time to help students with projects, homework and classwork.
