Congratulations to the 104th Calrossy Board

On Monday, May 23 the Calrossy Anglican School Board held their Annual General Meeting. Bishop Rod Chiswell was in attendance. The meeting was significant in the School's history as the final piece of our amalgamation process was completed with the formal inclusion of Calrossy Preschool into the one School construct.

Highlights of the meeting included:

  • The Board re-elected Mr David Lamb as Chairman with Deputy Chair Mr Cameron Stewart along with Chairs of Board and Governance Committees.
  • Bishop Rod Chiswell passed on his congratulations to all members of the Board and made special mention to the way Principal David Smith and his Executive team have supported day to day learning for our students.  It was noted that Mr Lamb and Mr Stewart have been very well supported by the Board who have steered Calrossy through unprecedented times with COVID-19.
  • Principal Mr David Smith shared that eCalrossy has been announced as a finalist in the Best Remote Learning Program section in the Australian Education awards.
  • The Board finalised the Calrossy Strategic Plan for 2022 – 2025 and we look forward to sharing this with the School community.

This Plan, Calrossy 2025, celebrates and affirms our heritage but also points to our dynamic future as we move ahead into our second century of teaching and learning and look forward to the addition of some exciting infrastructure projects, such as a second multi-purpose classroom block, alongside new parking and access roads on the William Cowper Campus. This time will also see the completion of significant Boarding refurbishments and improvements on the Brisbane Street Campus.
