Our 2026 Senior Secondary Leaders recently welcomed residents from Bupa Aged Care for a relaxed and engaging morning tea, as part of the Intergen Program coordinated by Mrs Laura Yeo.
Held in the Dining Room at our Brisbane Street Campus, the gathering offered a chance for students and older community members to connect through conversation, activities, and shared hospitality.

Guests enjoyed tea, coffee, juice and freshly baked scones with jam and cream, generously prepared by the Calrossy kitchen team. After morning tea, students joined the residents for a few games of Uno, some friendly chat, and a colouring-in session that proved especially popular.
Mrs Yeo reflected on the morning, saying:
“It was a truly beautiful morning that brought so much joy to everyone involved. Watching our students engage with the Bupa residents filled me with pride to be part of the Calrossy community, and we look forward to continuing this wonderful connection with Bupa Aged Care.”

The students were respectful, warm and attentive throughout the morning, taking the time to listen, laugh and simply enjoy being present. They are to be commended for how they conducted themselves – with kindness, patience and genuine care.
Events like this highlight the importance of community connection and shared experiences across generations, offering something valuable to all involved.
