Why Senior School?
Ready for what comes next
Years 10–12 are a time of growing independence, greater choice and important decisions about the future. At Calrossy Senior School, students are supported to explore their strengths, pursue their interests and create a pathway that is right for them.
Based at our dedicated, coeducational Brisbane Street Campus in Tamworth, Senior School provides an environment designed specifically for these final years. Students have access to specialist facilities, study spaces, experienced teachers, Careers and Wellbeing support and opportunities that prepare them for increasing independence.
Choice, challenge and opportunity
In Year 10, students continue their core studies while choosing electives that allow them to explore interests and strengths before selecting their HSC courses.
In Years 11 and 12, Calrossy offers a broad range of HSC subjects across all Key Learning Areas, including Extension courses. Subject offerings are shaped by student preferences, giving students greater opportunity to build a program suited to their goals.
Pathways extend beyond traditional academic study. Students can explore vocational education, TAFE, school-based traineeships and industry connections, opening pathways to university, further training and employment.

Calrossy has a proud record of HSC success and is consistently among the strongest-performing schools in the New England and North West.
Behind those results is a culture of high expectations and genuine support. Experienced teachers — including HSC markers and educators involved with NESA — know their students and are invested in helping them achieve their personal best, with additional study support available throughout the Senior years.
Senior School is also about preparing young people for life beyond the School gates. Leadership, sport, music, agriculture, equestrian, debating, academic challenges, service and diverse co-curricular opportunities give students the freedom to participate, extend themselves and discover new interests.
Meet our Head of Secondary - Ms Julia Boland
Our Head of Secondary Julia has extensive experience as an educator with a particular interest in student wellbeing and equipping students for life beyond school.
Julia, who was born in Tamworth, returned to the city to take up this leadership position at Calrossy'.
Julia is committed to strong student leadership and voice and fostering an environment that empowers student confidence and value.
