Academic Support & Learning
Supporting learning, independence and good study habits.
Academic support is an important part of the Calrossy Boarding Program, providing students with the structure, environment and guidance they need to take responsibility for their learning.
Boarding Prep provides dedicated time for homework, assessment preparation and study in a quiet, focused environment. Supported by qualified teachers and Boarding staff, students are encouraged to develop effective study habits, manage their time and become increasingly independent learners.
Our Boarding team works closely with academic staff and Leaders of Wellbeing, helping ensure each Boarder is supported throughout their learning journey.
Learning also extends beyond the classroom. Through community involvement, leadership, service, co-curricular opportunities and, for older students, part-time employment, Boarders develop practical skills, confidence and independence that prepare them for life beyond school.
From the transition into Middle School through to the academic, vocational and career pathways available in Senior School, our Boarders are supported to discover their strengths and pursue their individual goals.
