On Wednesday, 11th September, a group of Calrossy students from Years 9 and 10 attended the inaugural Building Futures Together: TAFE NSW Tamworth Student Jubilee — an engaging careers-focused event hosted on the TAFE Tamworth campus.
The event was designed to inspire young people from across the region by offering hands-on insight into a wide range of career opportunities. Students were grouped according to their pre-selected interests, rotating through three interactive sessions across the day.
With sessions ranging from trades to healthcare, creative industries, hospitality and beyond, the event allowed students to explore real-world vocational options, engage with industry professionals and TAFE instructors, and gain practical knowledge to support subject and pathway decisions for Senior Secondary
Organised in partnership with Calrossy Careers, the Jubilee offered a valuable opportunity for students to consider the many directions their futures might take — including TAFE courses and vocational education during or after school.
The event served as a dynamic onsite careers expo and taster day, reinforcing Calrossy’s commitment to supporting students as they explore purposeful, personalised futures.
We commend our Year 9 and 10 students for the enthusiastic way they represented the School and embraced this opportunity to dream, explore, and plan for what’s ahead.
