Last Friday, students across Calrossy’s Christian Studies classes rolled up their sleeves and gave their hearts to a special cause—packing 400 Christmas hampers for Anglicare to be distributed to families across our region.

This remarkable effort represents a doubling of the number packed in 2024, made possible by the generosity, teamwork and servant-hearted attitude of students across the School.

Prepared throughout the school day, the hampers were created using goods generously donated by Foodbank, and sorted into two versions with slightly different contents to suit a variety of family needs. Each parcel includes a handwritten Christmas card for a personal touch, and is marked with a Calrossy sticker featuring Luke 2:14:

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward mankind."

This practical act of service not only supports families doing it tough at Christmas, but reflects the heart of Calrossy’s mission—empowering students to live lives of purpose, compassion and Christian witness. It is a strong demonstration of the School's core values: Selflessness, Resilience, Integrity and Inclusiveness.

Photos from the day are now available for Calrossy families via the HUB and provide a wonderful insight into our students' spirit of giving.
