Calrossy Students Shine in High-Energy Musical Spectacular
Calrossy’s Secondary stage came alive last week with a vibrant and high-energy production of Disney’s High School Musical: On Stage! , a dazzling adaptation of the much-loved Disney Channel original movie.
Audiences were treated to a colourful, toe-tapping celebration of music, dance and teen spirit as the story of Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez unfolded at East High. From the bold opening number to the final chorus of We’re All In This Together , the production captured the energy, humour and heart of the original film — with a distinctly Calrossy flair.
More than 60 students were involved both on stage and behind the scenes. From the dynamic ensemble of jocks, cheerleaders, thespians, skater kids and brainiacs, to the talented cast of leads and hardworking backstage crew, this was truly a whole-school effort. The production showcased not only musical talent, but collaboration, creativity and courage — with students stepping into the spotlight and shining.
Under the leadership of Musical Director Naomi Turner, supported by Assistant Director Glendon Fletcher, the team brought East High to life through energetic choreography, vibrant costumes, and a fantastic live pit orchestra. The result was a joyful and polished performance that had audiences clapping, laughing and cheering.
