Our Calrossy community gathered to mark the culmination of Easter with a meaningful and joy-filled service, reflecting on the message at the very heart of our faith.
The service began with the powerful words of John 11:25, shared and reflected on by our School Chaplain, Mark Rundle. This set the tone for a time of both reverence and celebration, as our community stood together to sing Jesus Saves , lifting our voices in unity.

A moving video, The King Who Came to Die , reminded us of the sacrifice at the centre of the Easter story before the mood shifted to one of light-hearted engagement. Led by Mrs Leonie Collins, an Easter Quiz brought both laughter and learning, with two brave volunteers—Mr Phil Close and Mrs Charlotte Garner—taking to the stage in ponchos, ready for the challenge.
With 14 questions testing our knowledge of the Easter story, students and staff participated by choosing heads or tails. In the end, Mr Close’s team fell short, resulting in a memorable (and messy!) moment as the losing side received the classic cracked egg on the head—much to the delight of the crowd.
The service then returned to reflection and praise, as the community sang To God Be The Glory and watched The Resurrection . Mr Rundle shared a powerful message, reminding us that through Jesus’ death and resurrection, death no longer has power over us. In rising again, Jesus demonstrated victory over sin and death, offering the promise of new life to all who follow Him.

Our staff band led us in Jesus, Thank You , before our Chapel Prefect invited us into a time of prayer. The service concluded with the joyful declaration of Oh Happy Day , sending our community out with hearts full of hope.
We extend our sincere thanks to Mr Rundle, Mrs Collins and Miss Boag for their time, care and dedication in preparing such a meaningful service for our community.
