The Calrossy Cattle Team and Kamilaroi Shorthorns are celebrating an exceptional performance at the National Shorthorn Show and Sale, with students, staff and supporters sharing in a day of outstanding results both in the show ring and the sale arena.

The success highlights the strength of the Kamilaroi Shorthorn breeding program and the dedication, knowledge and hard work that underpin Calrossy’s renowned agricultural education opportunities.

Leading the results was Kamilaroi Hana W9, which was awarded Reserve Champion Female in the Female Show Class. The class was sponsored by the NSW Shorthorns Women's Committee, with the award proudly sponsored by Falls Livestock Transport.

In the highly competitive bull classes, Kamilaroi Vivid V25 claimed first place in Class 4, sponsored by Zoetis, before going on to achieve one of the standout results of the National Shorthorn Sale.

The impressive sire sold for $36,000, earning the prestigious John Horne Memorial Perpetual Trophy as the top-priced bull sold at auction.

The success continued in Class 10, sponsored by The Land, with Kamilaroi Viper V03 securing second place and Kamilaroi Vegas V06 finishing third.

Adding to an already memorable day, Kamilaroi Shorthorns was named Champion Breeders Group of Three Bulls, taking home the coveted Lambell Mackinnon Trophy, proudly sponsored by Holbrook Breeders.

These achievements reflect years of careful breeding, animal husbandry and preparation, while also providing invaluable learning opportunities for Calrossy students involved in the school's cattle program.

Congratulations to everyone involved in preparing, presenting and supporting the Kamilaroi Shorthorns team. To achieve success on a national stage is a tremendous accomplishment and one that showcases the excellence of agricultural education at Calrossy.

Well done to our students, staff, families and supporters on an outstanding day of achievement for Kamilaroi Shorthorns and the Calrossy Cattle Team.
