For more than 100 years, Boarding has been at the heart of the Calrossy community.
Welcoming students from across regional and rural Australia, Calrossy Boarding provides a supportive home away from home for girls and boys in Years 7 to 12.
At Calrossy, Boarding is about belonging to a community, finding purpose in your journey and learning the value of contributing to others.
Girls' Boarding
Brisbane Street Campus | Years 7 – 12
Girls' Boarding is located on Calrossy's Brisbane Street Campus in East Tamworth.
Our girls live across Calrossy, Ashton, Chapman and Sims Houses, creating smaller communities within the wider Boarding family.
Accommodation ranges from shared rooms through to individual study rooms for Year 12 students, supporting increasing independence as students progress through their school years.
Boarders have access to campus facilities including common and study areas, the swimming pool, gym, library, sporting fields and courts.
The Girls' Boarding program supports the academic, social and emotional development of each student, while encouraging independence, confidence and strong connections with others.
Boys' Boarding
Calrossy boys call Simpson House home.
Located a short distance from Calrossy's academic campuses, Simpson House provides a dedicated environment where boys can build friendships, develop independence and enjoy a strong sense of community.
Accommodation ranges from shared rooms through to individual study rooms for Year 12 students, with common areas, study spaces and recreational facilities supporting everyday Boarding life.
The Boys' Boarding program is designed around the changing needs of young men as they progress through Secondary School, supporting their wellbeing, personal development, learning and growing independence.

Positive and respectful relationships are at the heart of Calrossy Boarding.
Our Boarding staff take the time to know each student and provide the consistency, care and guidance young people need while living away from home.
Just as importantly, we recognise that parents and caregivers remain central to their child's life. Strong partnerships between home and Boarding help us provide the best possible experience for every student.
Our dedicated Boarding team works alongside Calrossy's teaching, wellbeing and health staff to support students throughout their school journey.
Meet Courtney Coe
Head of Boarding
For Courtney Coe, a successful Boarding experience starts with one thing — belonging.
As Head of Boarding, Courtney leads Calrossy's Girls' and Boys' Boarding communities with a focus on ensuring every Boarder is known, supported and encouraged to make the most of the opportunities around them.
Boarding is much more than where a student lives while they are at school. It is their home, their community and an important part of their journey towards independence.
Positive relationships with students and their families are central to Courtney's approach. Working alongside Calrossy's Boarding, teaching, health and wellbeing teams, she helps create an environment where students can grow academically, socially and personally.
Boarders are encouraged to discover their strengths, take on new challenges, contribute to their community and develop the confidence and independence they will carry beyond school.
Courtney welcomes prospective families to visit Calrossy, meet the Boarding team and experience the community for themselves.
