What began as an innovative way to connect regional students with quality independent education is continuing to grow, with eCalrossy set to expand to include Year 10 from 2027.
Currently offering education from Years 5 to 9, eCalrossy has continued to evolve in response to the needs of families, first expanding into the primary years and now extending through to Stage 5. The exciting next step means students will now be able to continue their distance education journey at Calrossy Anglican School through to their Record of School Achievement (RoSA), while remaining connected to a live, teacher-led learning environment.
eCalrossy has become an increasingly popular option for families seeking flexibility, connection and continuity in education, particularly across regional and remote Australia. The expansion has only just been announced and already five families have committed to extending their learning journey with eCalrossy into Year 10.
“Known for its real-time online classes, strong pastoral care and Residential Week experiences, the program supports students who may live remotely, travel frequently, balance elite pursuits, or benefit from a more flexible learning environment,” said Deputy Principal and Head of eCalrossy Mark Doran.
“We know families are looking for high-quality education options that can work alongside regional life, travel, family circumstances and individual student needs,” he said.
“The addition of Year 10 allows students to remain connected to a learning model and community they know well, while continuing to receive strong academic support and meaningful relationships with teachers and peers.”
Mr Doran said eCalrossy had always been about partnership with families and creating opportunities for students, regardless of location.
“Regional families should not have to compromise on quality education because of geography,” he said.
The new Year 10 offering will operate within a combined Year 9 and Year 10 class structure, designed to provide engaging instruction, curriculum integrity and personalised support for every student.
Students will continue to participate in live online classes, complete assessment tasks, engage visibly in lessons and attend Residential Weeks as part of the eCalrossy experience. Enrolments and enquiries for 2027 are now open.
