Calrossy equestrian students have enjoyed a successful 2026 Interschool Horse Extravaganza (ISHE), demonstrating their riding skills, determination and dedication across a variety of equestrian disciplines.
Competing in events including Showjumping, Working Horse Challenge, Show Horse, Campdraft and Combined Training, our students achieved an impressive collection of results, reflecting the hard work and preparation involved in competing at this level.
One of the standout achievements from ISHE 2026 was Team Calrossy being awarded the Peter Eggleton Memorial Team Campdraft Trophy, with Grace Newcombe, Evy Walsh and Stella Walsh representing the School.
This wonderful team achievement was a particularly memorable moment for the Calrossy equestrian community, showcasing the skill, teamwork and dedication of our riders.
Strong Individual Performances Across Disciplines
Our riders also celebrated a number of impressive individual results throughout the competition.
In Showjumping, Jessica Swain claimed the Senior 75cm Championship, while Emily Ryder secured Reserve Champion in the Intermediate 60cm event. Rhani Spencer-Ruddy also performed strongly, placing fourth in the 115cm Open and fifth in the Intermediate 75cm, while Harriet Callaghan achieved seventh in the Intermediate 60cm.
The Working Horse Challenge saw Lily Marshall secure second place in the 13–15 Years division, followed by Harriet Callaghan in third and Amy Gamble in fourth.
There were further successes in the Show Horse events, with Angela Emery placing third in the Show Hunter Hack over 16h and Emily Ryder achieving third in the Open Heavyweight Galloway Hack over 14h.
Campdrafting was another area of success, with Stella Walsh taking first place in the Juvenile 13 to Under 15 division. Grace Newcombe placed third in the 17 to Under 21 event, while Jessica McDouall finished fifth in the Juvenile 13 to Under 15 division. Lily Marshall also achieved sixth in the Juvenile 15 to Under 17 event, and Rhys Thompson secured equal third in the Junior 11 to Under 12 division.
In Combined Training, Harriet Callaghan placed fourth in the 50cm Secondary B event, while Jessica Swain finished fifth in the 95cm Secondary event.
These achievements reflect not only the talent of our students but also the commitment, perseverance and countless hours of preparation that go into competing in equestrian events.
Our ISHE team brought together riders from across Junior, Middle and Senior School, as well as eCalrossy students, representing a wonderful cross-section of the Calrossy community. It was fantastic to see students from different stages of their schooling come together through their shared passion for equestrian sport and proudly represent Calrossy.
We congratulate all our riders on their achievements and extend a sincere thank you to the families, coaches and supporters who continue to make these opportunities possible. We look forward to following their continued success in the equestrian arena.
Please note: Every effort has been made to accurately report the results available at the time of publication. We acknowledge that some results are yet to be officially released by ISHE and will provide further updates as this information becomes available.
